主要从事新型炭材料的功能化设计合成及其在污染水净化和电化学储能领域的理论及应用研究;主持河南省质量工程项目2项,主持和参与省级及以上教研课题9项,科研课题7项,获得省级奖励6项,SCI收录论文40余篇,授权发明专利7项,出版教材和著作3部。
荣获“全国煤炭行业教学名师”、“河南省教学标兵”、河南理工大学聘任的“二级元培名师”、“朱训教育基金优秀教师”,并多次荣获河南理工大学“师德先进个人”、“优秀教师”、“示范教师”、“精神文明先进个人”、“优秀共产党员”、“学生最喜爱教师”等荣誉;主讲《化工原理》、《新型分离技术》等课程。
